Dear Oak Hill School supporter,
At Oak Hill School, we take tremendous pride in preparing students to reach their greatest potential. As a member of the Oak Hill community, we know you value our tradition of developing caring and responsible critical thinkers. We are grateful to count you as part of our community. Your friendship and support are essential to our success.
Families choose Oak Hill School for their children for so many reasons – our personalized academic program, small class size, arts education, character development, global awareness, outdoor education, and teachers who meet each student with care and attention, nurturing their unique strengths and interests. After twenty-two years, Oak Hill School is still the only independent, non-denominational, college preparatory K-12 school in our region.
Beginning Friday, October 10, Oak Hill School will launch our 4-week Annual Fund campaign with the goals of raising $150,000 for our operating fund, and reaching 100% community participation. The Annual Fund is our primary fundraising vehicle and includes parents, grand-parents, alumni, alumni parents, faculty, staff, and friends of the school. We are extremely proud that our participation rates among current families have reached 97% for several years running. Among board, faculty and staff, participation is 100%.
The Annual Fund is the lifeblood of any independent school’s fundraising efforts. While tuition provides a strong financial base for Oak Hill School, these fees alone do not cover the full cost of an Oak Hill education. The school does not have a religious institution or government agency underwriting us. We do not have a budget surplus. Every single gift to the Annual Fund has a direct and profound impact on the daily lives of students at Oak Hill School. Your support is essential for Oak Hill to continue to deliver on our promise of educational excellence.
Board members will be available to answer your questions throughout the drive. You will often see them serving coffee at drop off and pick up times. You are also most welcome to stop by my office or our Development Director Pete Goldlust’s office at any time. We are always happy to answer any questions you might have – or simply to chat.
Your early participation will ensure that we reach our fundraising goals in just four weeks.
Thank you in advance for investing in our wonderful school and in the bright future of our exceptional students.
Sincerely,
Bob Sarkisian
Head of School
